Gday!
I currently am selling a Bicycle, and I am wondering how do you find out the size of a bike?

I measured the wheels and it turned out to be 24" but I believe that is not the real size.

If someone could assist me with this dilemma, I would trully appreciate it.

Kind Regards

Are you referring to the tire/wheel size, or the frame size? If you are referring to the tire size then you can do as others have suggested and look it up on the tire side wall. If you are looking to find out the frame size then you need measure the distance between the center of the bottom bracket shell, or the center of the crank arm bolt, vertically to the top of the seat tube which is just at the point where the seat post enters the frame. This measurement method is known as Center-to-Top (C-T) and is the standard measurement system for most bikes today.

Firstly, wheel size has very little to do with it. However, 24" indicates a teenager sized bike. This is usually sufficient.

To measure the frame size measure the virticle tube (The bit that your seat slots into) from the top of the tube down to the centre of the crank. Measurment is usuallyin inches.

You don't need to measure the wheels if you have tires on. Simply look at the size printed on the side of the tire. It'll say something like 26x1.75. 26 is the wheel size that people refer to. Frame size is commonly used for bike size for adults. Measure it by starting at the center of the crank spindle and measure to the top of the top tube. Post how you measured it in the ad to make it clear to the buyer.

I think the bike's general size is that of the FRAME, in inches. Measure the top of the seat tube (which holds the seat post) down to the bottom bracket (it's the thing that holds the cranks, the other tubes... you'll see it)

Sizing varies per manufacturer. Stand over height is the easiest.
