You'll easily do this in an hour if it's fairly flat. Hilly, well, that's a different ball game....

A 9 1/2 mile cycle ride is not a long ride. To know that you are fit you should be able to ride the distance in well under half an hour. 20 minutes would be really good. Assuming that your stamina is up to the three events, your cycle work will be pure speed. Build your speed up slowly until probably 10 days prior to the event, then ease back so that you are rested for the race. Initial work sessions will be at about 60% of your maximum heart rate, building steadily until the 10 day cut off point. I assume that you know about stamina training, diet, carbohydrate loading, fluid uptake, carbohydrate bars bike types, gearing, bike set up, aero positions and all that type of stuff.

It depends on if there are hills involved and how much shape you're in. I guess an hour would leave plenty of time for a for climbing a few hills here and there . It would probably not take more than 45 minutes anyway.

No way to know what your ride is like , what bike you will use or the shape you're in. Leave an hour before your start time the 1st time then adjust your time on later rides once you know.

1/2 hour, allowing for hills/traffic. I ride 10 miles to work and it doesn't take that long.

Hi I just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in. I commute 12.6 miles each way and it takes about 50 minutes.

The only way for you to know what you are going to be able to do is for you to try it.
We don't know the terrain, types of roads and traffic,or the type of rider you are.
Ride it and find out and come tell us how you did!

I'd plan for an hour if not in shape. I steady cruise no stops is like 11mph. A fast cruise is 15+ mph. You sure will be in good shape!

It depends on how many stops and how fast you are going. At about 15 mph nonstop I would say at least 40 minutes
