I need a ligt XC tire, and probaly around 400-450 grams. 26 by 2.0 is the tire size and I would like them light. THis is what I have came up with so far: http://two-wheels.michelin.com/2w/front/affich.jsp?codeRubrique=2092004115810&codePage=2092004115810_28022005200436&lang=EN
They say that they are the lightest, but I wonder.
THANK YOU FOR ANY AWNSERS!!!

I have a Turner Nitrous, but I think the best looking mountain (XC) bike out there is a Foes FXR 2:1 in red. Are there any better suggestions?

Would a 20 inch be a suitable size for a ten year old girl? IF not, do you know where on-line I can find good a good sizing chart for bikes?

I mean, I know you may not cycle on a motorway, but are there any other roads where cycling is not allowed? What about some of the larger A-Class roads? It's hard to imagine cycling down the A40 for example - is it actually allowed? Or are all roads except those classed as motorways considered suitable for cyclists?

Specialized Bikes just brought out some new rides for 2008 with Avid Juicy 5 Ultimate. I have Avid Juicy 7 brakes on my ride from 2007.
I have now discovered that there are Juicy Ultimates as well.
Is there really a wide difference ?
Finally, would fitting 26 x 2.20 tires to my ride affect my ride much apart from the obvious speed lost ? I currently have 2.10 on my rims

I just bought a new BMX bicycle. The brand is "smoke" and it smoked itself. The chain came of 5 times and the seat won’t stay up. I bought it from academy for $100 and it was $140 originally. How much would I have to spend on a BMX bike in order for the chain not to come of?

Today I got a new bike... I am not a huge guy, but I realized after I'd bought the bike that I'd never learned how! So I took a few minutes to try learning, etc, all went well ....
Then after about half an hour riding in circles in the little concrete area by my house, I decided I'd go all the way down the block and back (which is about a half mile round-trip). I did this twice, and when I got back, I was so tired I was shaking, could barely stand up, and in excruciating pain. It was a labor just to walk back into the house.
Maybe my stamina just isn't so great. Or maybe I'll just never get better. I read all these stories about people riding dozens of miles in a 1.5-2 hour time frame. Will I ever get better? Please answer. I need some motivation =\

It's a good problem to have, I know. But it is a tough one. What's the best bike to buy that'll do everything from XC 'racing' (by this I mean finishing in the middle on a good day) and ripping around the forest with wheels mostly on the ground. My priority is a good climber - I need all the help I can get!

I've been thinking about an Epithany, 08 Yeti 575, IBIS, or a Turner Spot.

Budget is to around USD $7-8k.

I keep getting weird looks when I ride my bike on the sidewalk, and even though I don't really care, people have told me that you're supposed to ride your bike on the road only.

A rare length for mtb stems seem to be 60mm to 70mm in length. I've taken a look online but there seems to be stems 50mm and shorter only.
The bar size I would like to run is 31.8mm diameter.
What is available out there?

I want to assemble a lighter bike than my marin pallesides. I know companents are also a big factor and I'm good with a group set of Shimano XT.

Now, I'd like to ask if anyone has an idea or a suggestion of what FS frame I should buy?

Giant's Anthem Advanced seems to be quite light at 22lbs (build bike), is there any other competitor out their aside from this?

thanks.

no pain during actual bike ride but very sore a couple of days after. Varied uphill flat on road, on mountain bike.

I have a high-end XC bike that I love, but it cannot handle any tires wider than 2.1. I'd like to have a nice American made bike that can handle really wide tires (2.4+). Trek hardtails are preferable.

There were no warnings issued. seemed kind of weird to me. Although, i understand it is not fair to ride on the sidewalk but issuing a criminal summon is taking it too far. Come on.. you are placing me with guys who commited crimes like murder, rape for just riding a bike on the pavement.

I finally decided to upgrade my bike. Now i have 2 choices of forkl!! RS Revelation 426 and FOX Talas RLC.

Both fork have similar weight

problems: *(the "C" is not a big deal for me, i dont really care)

i heard some ppl said that the RS one is short and the travel is not enough. But it has remote lockout!! dual air

talas is awesome, 140mm, 120mm, 100mm, longer fork

i like revelation more coz it is cheaper, have the remote and look better. But ppl keep saying that it's a short fork.

which one do u guys recommend me to choose? Or which one u prefer? ( Performance and control is the most important 4 me !!!! the outlook and the money is NOT a BIG PROBLEM!!!)
