I need a ligt XC tire, and probaly around 400-450 grams. 26 by 2.0 is the tire size and I would like them light. THis is what I have came up with so far: http://two-wheels.michelin.com/2w/front/affich.jsp?codeRubrique=2092004115810&codePage=2092004115810_28022005200436&lang=EN
They say that they are the lightest, but I wonder.
THANK YOU FOR ANY AWNSERS!!!

Kenda has a few very light tires like the Klimax Lite <400 grams. But understand this: MTB tires are a balance of what you need vs. weight. Super light tires will be thin and more prone to damage. All light tires will have small knobs for general hard pack trails. If you ride in very rough terrain, lots of sand, gravel or mud small knobs won't do the job.

Maxxis flyweight 330 good choice. but be prepared to replace them, as they can wear pretty quick on hard surfaces and you may pick up more punctures than usual. But that's the price you pay for light weight tyres as i,m sure you know.
Question is how light do you want to go.
As the name suggests they weigh 330grams and are 26/1.9..

Failing that Maxxis flyweight 490 may also be a good choice and a bit tougher.
Again as the name suggests 490 grams and a 26/2.0 profile.

Continental speed king supersonic 510grams in 26/2.1 or 26/2.3.

Lastly it may be worth looking at chainreactioncycles.com where you can read the reviews, view the tyre profile and if you order its free next day delivery..

The best all round that I have found is the Panaracer Fire XC Pro, 1.8. This is reasonably light, but durable. It is also easy to get on and off if you get a flat.

(Note: This is tube.)

Luck
