Somebody hear about Bilenky Cycle Works , they instaling S&S couplers and realigning the frame . I want to ship my Trek 520 frame for retrofit to them , so I want to know if somebody have experience about Bilenky Cycle Work and if retrofiting job on frame was done to high quality standard .

My mother tells me everytime I go ride a bike to wear my helmet, but my friends think its ridiculous. I ride bicycles well i.e. never fall, but how much protection does a bicycle helmet offer.

Note: I’m using a set of Shimano 105 50/39/30 crank, combining with a 12-27 (12,13,14,15,16,17,19,21,24,27) cassette.
My friend, Yin drives a 2002 Honda Civic DX, with a 1.7L, 115 horse power engine and a 4-Speed automatic transmission.

Scenario: I’m a very zealous cyclist and enjoy taking on difficult challenges. My friend, Yin and I take the same route to work, which is a quiet rural road. There is a stretch of a six mile straightway (flat side road). She promised to keep her engine below 2500 rpm, which would limit the engine from reaching optimal torque.

So I’m wondering if it is possible to keep up with her car?

If so, at which gear and cadence?

hi and thank you for taking the time to read my question! at the moment my upright exercise bike is really my only option for exercise. i'm wondering how to make the most of of it. i just got it, and for the last few days i've been doing about 4miles a day. i know its not that much on a bkie, especially since i break it up, but i'm wondering how much i should aim for to really see a difference in my body, my main goal is to lose weight right now, and i have already adjusted my diet but jub requires me to sit all day long so it doesnt help.

I have a 2007 stumpjumper comp hardtail. I want to lose some weight, and someone told me the wheels should come before the frame. So what are the cheapest and lightest wheelset. DT custom for Specialized X430, is what I have.
Thank You!!!!!

I know they can be switched out, that's not the point. I'm just curious. Almost every road bike and ATB come with quick release wheels. But every single-speed messenger bike doesn't. I'm just wondering what the reason is behind that.

I have a Iron Horse Maverick 4.2, and I love it. THe only problem is that I sometimes have trouble getting up hills. What is the cheapest and easiest way to lighten up my ride, or how can I make it a better climber?

I ride to work 3 times a week, it's 15 miles round trip. When I have time on the weekends, I plan on going for rides, but don't have time atm. So going with just riding 45 miles a week, the uphill grades aren't too drastic and a big chunk of the ride is flat, how long do you think it would take before I start seeing a physical difference (besides the awesome tan I've gotten).

Could it be the frame size, stem, or seatpost height? For some reason my knees are aching after rides. I'm 5'11" with a 30" inseam. I've been riding MTB for awhile so this injury is surprising to me. Help!

I'm guessing mine would be in the low 40's (MPH). I'm 15 and I use a my mom's 10 speed with the large diameter, thin wheels. It's from the 1980's I think.

I Have a Dawes Accent mountain bike I can not get top gear, I have tried to adjust the derraileur with the hi and low screws and adjust the cable tenshion, the derraileur is sitting on a small notch (looks like it is there to do this) and the spring seems to be working.

could this be due to a worn component?

I ride a “Trek Madone 4.5 WSD” road bicycle. Last year, I rode 4563 miles. She is a 50 cm carbon frame, with a Shimano 105 50/39/30 crank / Shimano 105 12-27, 10-speed cassette.
This might be a bit silly, as I enjoy pedaling; I often choose to try to keep up with my friends while they drive their cars. This is the best option, especially since I’m the only cyclist in the group. So, every time we have an outing, they will drive and I’ll ride.
As long as I could keep up with my friends’ cars, I would try to stay in line with them. Would it be possible to draft off from their cars?
