I am planning to buy a new fork for my 2004 Scott Nitrous 20 which is currently equiped with a Marzocchi Z 150 fork. The fork I am planning to buy is a 2007 888 Marzocchi which is 5 cm longer than the current one. Will this cause any problem or do you suggest using another type of fork? What to do?

I have a 21 gear bike (3 main gears on the left and 7 smaller interval gears on the right), but my leg strength has dramatically increased using it, and as a result I always pedal on the highest gear. I would really like to go faster, is it possible to find a bike with 4 main gears on the left handlebar?

Im upgrading my current bontrager lite wheels on my trek madone 5.0. Please have a look at the link and any information you have on these wheels would be greatly appreciated. Unfortunately I dont have the $$$$ to splash out on zipp404's , 808's or any of the Easton tempest models. Im looking to roughly spend €1000 max. Anmy other suggestions too would be great.

I have never owned a bike rack, which has put me at a disadvantage of searching for one for the fit. I have seen some things online in forums, but nothing really thorough that lets me know it will fit okay on the honda fit.

I want to get into mountain biking. I have always rode atv but I want to get myself into better shape now. I need advice on getting started with a bike and what gear I should buy also. I don't want to spend a fortune on a bike (preferably $350 or less until I get started for awhile). I will mainly be doing all offroad and trail riding.

OK, someone asked the first part of this question previously and rcv all guesses- the answer is the tire isn't seated properly.

The question is how to successfully get it done.
I have two that way and managed to get one seated.
Maybe I just don't have enough air pressure to get it done for the other. I have put as much as 95# in a max 70 rated tire.
How much air will blow the tire?
I know where I can get to about 120#.

If it doesn't get seated I guess it may as well blow.

I bought a cheap bike, And then on a ride the front crank arms stripped and fell off. So the crank set is now stripped.

I dont know much about bikes but I live in Portland which is the bike capitol of the US "self proclaimed" and I want to get into it.

My bike is a 27in cheapo mountain bike. I need a new crank and figured Id get a good one to last. Im 6'3 and 240. Iike to ride fast and hard so I need something that wont break the bank but is good for me.

Oh, and if you have input on a new back spindle thingy, You know, the teeth things on the back wheel, they are bent already. Give me some info please

As read on Sheldon Browns website he mentions that they can be combined but I do not understand which wheels (front of back) should have a certain tyres eg front for traction, or rear for slippage. How does one go about combining different tires and does this work well?

Thanks.

ok, so i've been going to spin class 3 times a week for about a month now. i feel stronger. i know i'm stronger. and i've build up my endurance quite a bit...yet, i still have a hard time when we do sprints in class. i don't understand my body. i can handle a good deal of resistance and i keep cadence and i'm even good when it comes to jumps...but sprints...i just don't seem to be getting any better at. after about the first one of two sprints, my muscles just won't give any more and i start to seriously slow down...but as soon as the sprint is over, i can keep cadence again no prob! i just don't get it! i need some serious advice. is there anything i can do to build up my speed and endurance during sprints??
