Bicycle frames are measured from the center of the bottom bracket (the spindle that the crank arms are mounted to) to either the top or the center of the top tube depending on the manufacturer. This bike sounds like it would be ridden by a child. Most adult sized bikes have either 26 inch or 700c wheels. You might need an extra long seatpost to get the saddle to the correct height on this frame. Also, the crank arms will likely be too short for your height. Nobody will laugh if the bike fits and you are out enjoying the ride. Head to a bike shop and make sure you are properly fitted to your bike.

A bike is sized by the distance from the ground to the center of the top tube. It runs between the stem (the vertical post holding the handlebars) and the seat post (the vertical post holding the seat).

Unless you have extremely long legs for your height, the bike will not look too outrageous for your body size. However - if the bike fits comfortably, it shouldn't matter what others think. They're not the ones riding it ... and you're the one losing weight and getting more fit, not them. Down the road, you're going to be laughing at them!

If you have already bought the bicycle, why should you care whether others approve it or not. The bicycle is for your pleasure and convenience and you are certainly not offending any ones feelings by riding it. Further, in a very short time, others will forget

to notice the midget height of the cycle.
The height of the cycle is measured by the length of the vertical tube below the seat.

Bras are like clothing.. the in super condition relies upon on the maker... detect a sort & maker which you like & attempt to stay with them. Use the dimensions that feels the suited do not trouble approximately what the tag says. If 40b feels the suited choose for it. do not sqeeze right into a 36c through tape measurer.

Children's bikes are measured by wheelsize. adult bikes are measured by frame size since they all have standard sized wheels. An adult mountain bike will have 26 inch wheels. Sounds like you have a youth model.
