I'm currently too unfit to ride my bike as I discipline myself using the bike as the carrot..

I've done monster rides all my life.. sometimes I ride 10 hours non stop.. and I am currently planning a long distance charity ride, I'm either gonna ride SYD to ACT, VIC or PERTH.. gotta get fit first.. but if I do it, you will hear about it in the news as I will have sponsors.

My father and I planned ot open a bike store over 20 years ago and at the time we owned 30 odd bikes.. it was great.. i had a different bike each day to ride to school.

Well the store never happened as my parents divorced soon after.. but I have riden a bike ever since and it always sits at the top of my list of essential items, long before a microwave which i do not even own. Having a bike all my life and using it has kept me fit and athletic all my life.

in summer i usually abandon my car.. and spend all day riding the bike.

Most days, I ride back and forth to work ... 18-20 miles (29-32 km) each way. I haven't left for work (yet), so today's total is currently zero.

However, tomorrow is Saturday and will be the "long ride" for the week ... 134 miles (215 km), with a "relaxing ride" scheduled for Sunday of only 80 miles (128 km).

And yes - in case you hadn't noticed ... I LOVE riding my bike!

By the end of the weekend, I should have right around 5200 miles (8367 km) since the beginning of the year.
