I was riding my bike all week with the seat low.If you can get that from it,what can be done to ease the discomfort from it.Any suggestions

I noticed it alot when I was riding my bike fast to and from work,which is about a mile from my house each way.

It's not just a matter of raising your seat?


It may mean that your seat is too far forward!

Assuming you have the correct frame size, in normal riding position the front axle should be obscured by the handlebars.

Try it!

I don't think you can pull a muscle like this but you usually really don't get efficient pedelling and you most likely fatigue very quickly. If it's a longer ride, these same muscles will most likely get sore. I would simply go to your local bike shop and ask them to adjust the seat height properly. They should do this for free. Once properly adjusted, your riding shoould be more enjoyable. Good luck.

yea you can get injured if u dont have proper seat heighth. it happened to me. i read it in a cycling book too. it always hurt when i peddle hard. rais the seat so there is a slight bend in the leg when fully extended downward.

Raise your seat ! You can hurt yourself with a seat that's too low ! You can damage your knees bigtime !

no you cant but if your seat is to low you can not get all the speed than if your seat was at the right height

I find that riding with the saddle to low hurts the knees.
