I am looking for a mountain bike due to mine giving up,i have been offered a Merida Dakar mens mountain bike for £70.
I have never heard of this make,is it a good bike and does the price sound about right ta.

i have never heard of them either but i checked out their website and they seemed good. lots of good components. that sounds like a good deal, but be carefull. ask the owner what the bike has been though and if it has had any crahses because the frame may break soon. just sont get ripped off and good luck!

To tell you the truth - I've never heard of them either. I'm not saying they are either good or bad. What I did find out for a fact, their web site is full of flaws. Can't seem to get a definitive price on any of them. Keeps coming up with error codes. (?????????)

I got my Marin Hawkhill with hayes sole hydraulic brakes and marzzochi forks and 6061 frame or under £500 in Glasgow.More than half the price of that links equivalent model.

I've seen them. They've been selling good here in Mexico. I think they're a very solid brand and have nice offerings. No problem.

never heard of them but you should invest in an iron horse i have put my bike throught water up mountians and down the other side they hold up to just about any thing you take care of your bike and clean it and your bike will take care of you
