Plays individual basketball (as characterized by his World Champs display), doesn't display leadership required by a young franchise palyer, has yet to play thru the rough times. Over-rated or misunderstood?????

Why does yao Ming use his 1st name on his jersey. I asked a Chinese guy if it was because it was actually his surname like in Japanese culture, but he said they don't do it that way. My husband and I just can't fid someone with a plausible answer.

There are some pretty good mid-major teams out there that could get some relatively high seeds in the tourney. You have a couple of really good Mid-Major teams in Nevada and Southern Illinois that could get as high as 3 and 4 seeds, and some strong teams like Butler , Winthrop , Xavier ,Creighton, and VCU who are really going to push any power conference team they play to the limit. Then there are the good mid major shools like Missouri state, Gonzaga, UMass, Drexel and Old Dominion who if they get in will be outside shots but still are talented enough that they can hang with the big boys. The line between mid-major and power conference seems to be getting thinner every year, and with that being said will we get another mid-major in the final four ala George Mason? Also how many mid-major schools will make the elite 8 and the sweet sixteen?

My friends and I have been pondering this inaccuracy. Why are the Detroit Red Wings included as being in the Western Conference in the NHL and the Detroit Pistons included in the Eastern Conference in the NBA? Is there some sort of demarcation line running between the "Joe Luis Arena" and the "Palace of Auburn Hills" that separated the East from West? This just seems crazy to me as Detroit is not even close to being in doubt of being on the Eastern side of the USA I mean Dallas is closer to the north south line of the USA than Detroit yet the Stars & the Mavericks are both in the west in their respective competitions.

I hope someone out there can help me out with an answer to this one!

Starbury had another great night...until the last 0.9 seconds, when his second freethrow bounced off the rim. The Knicks, and especially Starbury played with so much heart tonight. Steph will carry this team on his shoulders if he has to. The Knicks deserved to win this one at the Garden tonight for him. What a heartbreak.

Since Artest was arrested and if he is found guilty and whatnot, do the Kings have any chance in getting into the play-offs? I don't it matters if he is gone, but what do you think?

I think Brian Cook's game fit right with the Phoenix Suns, he's a shooting big guy who can put up a 3 pointer.
If I'm scouting for the Suns, I'll take him

What do y'all think?
