Basketball - July 2007

This just popped in my mind. If you're starting up you're team I guess you want to be competitive, what better way than to start with a defensive minded player. Of these players I'm about to give who would you rather get in the expansion draft:

Charles Oakley
Dennis Rodman
Ben Wallace

All of them in their prime. All of them hard working Bad Boys. Best answer would come from the player with many votes/answers and of course you'd have to explain you're answers.

1-Bulls:Great Team may not have insider score but i'm looking at tryus thomas to go inside. This young team is ready
2-Pistons: Still the same team but webber wont come in midseason
3-Celtics:They got kg, paul and Ray
4-Cavs:They will get better with james
5-Toronto:Have no clue
6-Heat:They still have wade and hope he stays health this time
7-Nets:They have kidd and thet got Carter back
8-Washington 60% chance or 40% Orlando

Also his MVP's are a joke Kevin Johnson had a much better career as a Phoenix Sun player and he never won a MVP that's right there was Michael Jordan around, Magic Johnson, Larry bird, Charles Barkely, David Robinson, Karl Malone, Scottie Pippen, etc..... To compete for the prize what now you have Stoudemire, Bryant, James, Duncan, Anthony, Iverson, etc..... I still say that he didn't deserve the award in any of those years but since the talent pool has dried out a lot I guess the NBA had to give it too someone. Anyways how sad is it that Nash isn't even the best point guard the Suns ever had? Kidd was good, but he left and didn't have as good of years as KJ did. Kidd was a better rebounder then KJ but KJ was as tough as nails and took it too the hole with no fear!

I really love this guy! He really needs to win a ring before he retires!

When do you think Garnett's dreams of a ring will come true? I know he's on the Celtics now... but how much time will they need to adjust and get things going in a positive direction?

I don’t think they need much time to adjust… because all three of them (Garnett, Ray, Paul) have such class… and they all want a ring so badly… I personally think they are going to connect really fast.

I think they have a solid chance at winning the east.

What are your thoughts?

The Lakers seemed to be trying to pull off a deal but then they just vanished. Even JO wouldn't help drastically, he could help the Lakers pull themselves up a couple seeds and win some playoff rounds.

I have never seen Micheal Jordon in a video game. I have looked around and played most basketball games and not once have i seen him in one. I would like to play as Jordon at least once! Do you know any games with him in one?

He's now got three of the best players of the past 10 years, and they basically have four or five years to bring home a championship. Plus, they will generate a lot of excitement among the fans and put the Celts on the map. Sure, they traded away emerging talents Gerald Green and Big Al, but who knows if those guys would ever have been good enough to do anything special. Now, though, they got proven vets who know what they are doing, and will undoubtedly put the Celts in the playoffs.

Lets just face it. Individually, Kobe Bryant is the best player in the NBA right now. People who say that he sucks or is overrated are just SO JEALOUS OF HIM!! Im tired of all these jealous cry babies who hate on Kobe just cause he is so good individually. Come on people, even guys like Lebron and Mike D'Antoni(Suns head coach) have said Kobe is the best player in the NBA. People just bag on him because he doesnt make his teammates better like steve nash does. Well thats because his teammates dont step up for him! He doesnt have that great of a supporting cast aside from Odom and Walton(sometimes). So why do people put the blame on him? He cant do it by himself. But theres no question, HE STEPS UP HIS GAME when his team needs it. That's why hes the Best Player in the NBA. I'm tired of these jealous cry babies who dont want to admit Kobe is the best just cause they are jealous that he is better than theyre favorite players...
