Paxson has done a good job putting together a good young core of players, with Deng looking like a future star. Garnett would have been a nice addition, but they would have had to give up a heap to get him, and he's not a strong inside scorer, which they sorely need...KG prefers turn around jumpers and finding open shooters from the block.

Bulls will be a great team in the years to come....you don't have to have a great all-star or MVP like Garnett to be a great team....Bulls wasn't able to get him because they would have gotten rid of a lot of good players and the Bulls would have just been the T'Wolves with Garnett.....Boston was the only team that really had the players that Minnesota wanted.....yeah i know you are thinking about the Lakers, Mavs and Suns....but there was no way in hell that the Wolves would have traded Garnett in the same conference

It takes two to tango...If the T Wolves don't want to deal with Chicago, Paxson can't make them give up Garnett!....The T Wolves did pretty good with this trade....2 future #1 picks and some decent players...Telfair has to live up to his potential and the T wolves may come out pretty good in this trade.

im not sure why the bulls did not go after garnett he would have definately improved the team. the only reason i can think of is that the twolves were asking for way too much. 5 players and 2 draft picks im not sure if thata worth it

kevin mchale played in boston so i guess if he wud trade his best player it wud be to his former team. second the wolves wud not want to trade its best player to a already playoff bound team thus make it even better team. and last, and more important, they wud not trade it to a western conf team to avoid facing his new team more than twice next season and avoiding competing with his new team to a playoff position (if the wolves cud get that far). personally i am dissapointed for the wolves with this trade, al jeff is not proven to be all star player i dont think he cud be, the wolves were left with nothing. they cud send kg to memphis for gasol or to the nets for jefferson or the bulls for deng and hinrich but they did not. as for boston, they will be my fave team next season.i hope nobody among the 3 future hall of famers wud get a serious injury. hev fun! :)

They really don't need him. they would never give up 7 players for him and Jerry Reinsdorf is so cheap that he would never pay him. The only good things that he's done for the bulls is pick and keep Jordan and the dynasty intact.

They would, you are correct. However it would involve them giving up way more than they would be willing. The bulls have a good thing going now with their core.
