Do you think Kobe is a little frustrated that the Lakers couldnt make an intriguing offer to the Timberwolves for Kevin Garnett, who ended up in Boston?

Yeah, I guess so. Weren't he the first one to blow the whistle that he didn't like the direction his team was going? Paul Pierce did the same. Now Paul enjoys the best team of his career while Kobe is kept wanting.

Additional: I think the Lakers don't seem to look at parting with Andrew Bynum, Kwame Brown and the likes. Plus the fact that it would deplete their line-up completely. hehe

Well, if he is, he has himself to blame. Kevin Garnett stated in his news conference that he didn't consider Los Angeles because of the "Kobe situation" that Kobe created. So, in other words, if Kobe had got off the fence, rescinded his trade demand, and made a commitment to the Lakers, thus making it a more attractive destination for KG, the Lakers would have been in a better position to make a trade for Garnett that KG would agree to.

And it'll be the same story with any other big trades the Lakers try to make (such as for Jermaine O'Neal) if Kobe doesn't do something to settle the "situation" he's created.

He is probably frustrated but at the same time he has to understand that the Lakers couldn't have made as good of an offer as the Celtics did. Not to mention, if they did make that type of an offer (draft picks and multiple role players), the Lakers would have absolutely no depth aside from Kobe and KG and so they still wouldn't have done too well because they would be so tired come playoff time.

I think Kobe is resigned to the fact that GMs around the league don't take Mitch Kupchak seriously. Besides, when you think about how much Boston gave up to make the KG deal, the only way it would have fallen through would have been for Garnett to refuse to go. The Lakers didn't have enough young bodies with smaller contracts to compete. Still, there are deals to be made, but again, Mitch doesn't have enough clout to pull them off.

Not really. Kobe didn't say anything when the KG rumors came into play. If Kobe wanted KG all he needed to say was "I would love to play with KG." But it still wouldn't have happened and he knows it. So he kept his mouth shut. Soemthing he doesn't do often. Compare the talent the TWolves got with Boston, to the talent they could have gotten with the Lakers. Can't compare. Other then Bynum, that's all the TWolves really wanted. Lakers didn't have any big expiring contract's and young players, or draft picks to throw out. All Kobe can do is hope he can get Jermaine O'Neal along with keeping Odom. if the Lakers can get Jermaine while keeping Kobe, D-Fish, and one of their young PG's, and Lamar, I'm sure he would piss his pants from excitement.

No he wants the team to himself like the selfish player he is. The lakers have done nothing since Kobe ran Shaq out of town and now he wants out one week and to stay the next. He is a great player but I would rather have a Wade or Lebron or a KG on my team.

No. Kobe is too focused on playing for the national team. No one really wants to play on Kobe's team anyway. It isn't that the Lakers are not trying to get talent in, its just that people do not want to play with Kobe.

Would you want to play with a teammate who treats people the way he does? Who cares if he is frustrated. You reap what you sow. This is all his own doing.

Of course he is, he wants to win and needs someone else in there that can carry their own weight... Kobe is tired of carrying the entire team on his own.

No way. He'd just whine to Jerry Buss and demand that KG would get traded.Kobe can't handle another star on his team,he's too selfish.I think we all remember what happened when Shaq was on the team.
