Its hands down that he is the best player in the nba, possibly the world but every since the rape issue, alot of people seem to dislike kobe bryant even though of what he do on the court. LIke him or not, he's the best but the comments i read on answers.com seem like some of you all don't like him personally or something when its not that serious.

Now I know a lot of people are going to disagree but I think Smush has game. I think the problem is all his talent revolves around scoring and he should be playing the SG not the point.

Remember that Kobe said that he idolized Magic Johnson so much that when Magic first retired (remember he came back in 1996 for the Lakers and re-retired after being ousted by Houston) he terrribly cried the anouncement, Lebron on the otherhand was a Jordan fanatic. Of the two Kobe seem to emulate MJ more and Lebron Magic which brings us back to this question: Who is better at emulating their basketball idols, Kobe or Lebron? L.a. feels like there asking to much for O'neal and Garnett is staying so Paul gasol is the only other player I see the Lakers going after.So would trading Bynum and odom for Gasol a good trade? I would say odom and cook but i wouldn't even make that trade lol.If I was la i would've traded odom for marion.There idiots if they don't make a trade.

Everyone says we lose because the rest of the world is getting better. But how about the fact that many of the best players aren't on the team(not including injuries). You have to send all the best at once. Look KG, AI, Duncan are missing. What's that? AI should be Kobe's back up or the starting point maybe. But more in importantly the best power players in the NBA are missing when they are in their prime. That's why this team is always losing. They have been leaving pieces off ever since the original Dream Team.

my picks:
MARCO BELINELLI- my darkhorse, probably will get the starting spot especially stephen jackson's off court probs and the departure of j rich
SPENCER HAWES - kings go to guy on the post (move over brad miller)
GREG ODEN - defensive machine of the blazers, probably wil get most of his pts on tip ins off lamarcus aldridge and brndoy roy's shots. he will get some post up moves too.
MIKE CONLEY JR - will take over the pg position. he'l have a good teacher in damon stoudamire
KEVIN DURANT - in my opinion, the 2008 rookie of the year.
