hi ,i am a NBA lover,when i read today's NBA news of Houston Rocket,i was puzzled by the difference between the two words:"sank" and "hit".

Alston sank a free throw with 5.4 seconds to go.
Atkins then hit a free throw with 3.6 seconds left, but missed the second and McGrady rebounded.

i want to know the differneces of the two words.

I live in Phoenix and since we have such a shitty football team, the Suns are our prized possession. I was just wondering what your guys' predictions are for them for the season. It's too bad they couldn't pull off a Dallas win earlier this week but their still like 2nd in the league. And right now they're beating the crap outta the Pistons.
