~This guy is constantly making accusations about Americans disrespecting them and being racists. I have not ever heard of any middle eastern boxers either. The same reason the rest of the world does not respect American soccer - we have not proven we can compete with the rest of the world, not on the pitch at least. I do believe the US is racist at it's core, it would be hard not to be with such a multi-cultural population. But on this score, we're not guilty. Middle Eastern basketball teams have to show us how good they are; right now - we don't know.

There is no double standard. Plenty of people of different colors and religions and nationalities are playing great ball in the NBA and making more in one week than I make in a year.

Given any amount of political stability, Middle East players can just keep working at it until the NBA scouts see the talent. That method worked for Vlade & Peja & Hedo, many Russians and Africans. It's really only a matter of time if your men are playing fun and exciting ball. That's why we watch the games. Exiciting game play. Race obviously doesn't count.

Until a couple of ME players start playing in the NBA, and playing well there will be no respect for them. the NBA didnt respect the Chinese until Wang Zhi Zhi and Yao came and the NBA will slowly begin to respect the whole world in basketball, becuase everyone else has fundamentals and only Tim Duncan has em in the league

Too much body hair all over the court leads to way too many traveling violations with everyone slipping all over the place.
