Lofton brought home the trophy. He was also well deserving of it in my opinion. Who thought he should or shouldnt have won it? Explain.

The funniest thing is South Carolina coach Dave Odom said if his player, Tre Kelley, didn't win, then "shame on the people who vote". South Carolina finished dead last in the SEC and I think Odom better be getting ready for the SEC tourney and the NIT (if they even make that) instead of promoting his player for POY.
Even if you didn't think Lofton's numbers were enough to get him POY, Bruce Pearl made it clear why he was chosen. They were competitive without him, but they couldn't win without him. Enough said, he is the best player in the SEC and the most valuable to his team. People are trying to promote Green and Noah from Florida as national player of the year, with Green not even being second team all SEC and Noah was on the second team (that should be reversed by the way as Noah is the most overated player in the country and Green is actually good).
The bottom line is before Lofton got hurt and Durant started going off, Chris was the favorite for national player of the year (with more 30 point games at the time than tucker, hansborough, and all the other candidates combined)
now the vols have something major to prove in the SEC tourney, as they have NEVER advanced to a weekend game! That is pretty sad, but I've got faith in us!

lofton is not any doubt the suited participant interior the SEC yet he won't win SEC participant of the three hundred and sixty 5 days. i think of Joakim noah may even nevertheless i cant stand him, its going to be somebody on flordia cuz they have been given the beginning 5 lower back so communities like tennesse or vandy get overshaadowed
