Hey, now that you mention it, I think so, too.
Cook doesn't have a low-post game, but he likes to shoot the hell outta that ball from beyond the arc or from mid-range. Plus, I think the Suns could use a run-&-gun big man (remember last year in the playoffs, Boris Diaw was playing center) to maybe complement Amare Stoudemire.
Also, the best defensive aspect of Cook's game is taking charges, and the Suns could use that while they and their opponents run up and down the floor.
Besides, if it weren't for injuries, B-Cook wouldnt be getting much playing time with LA. And I remember a few years ago, Horace Grant once said in an interview that he could definitely see Cook as the Lakers' PF of the future. Yeah, okay, Horace....
So yeah, a match made in heaven, I think.

I think to just see Cook as a long range shooter is overlook the other things he can do. He's not a bad defender, he's inconsistant with his defense, but he does have defensive abilities that he needs to show more often instead of just staying on the outside, and he can play in the post in addition to outside scoring, so he could be a good role player on a lot of teams, not just the Suns.

He gets lost on the switch, watch him on isolation defense and pick and roll, also for someone his height he does not try to post up much or drive, which also leaves him very poorly out of position to rebound(just like samaki walker used to)...the lakers are having a tough time because they lack inside presence, they get boards, but dont 'own the middle' ...Im sure, the lakers would give him to the Suns for a second and another player or cash...

you know, sometimes i look at this guy and say" what in the world happended". Me being from illinois, would love to see him play for a good team( although the lakers arent that bad) but i expected a lot more from him. I dont, however think the suns will pull a huge bid for him. The lakers wont give him up that easy, cuz he could potentially be a mehmet okur in a triangle offense soon enough,,,
