as long as their focus isnt defense, and they dont have injuries or player movement that allows them to keep a good team core in place for a number of years...then they will not be contenders in the talent rich Western conference...

First, they should try to move Baron Davis and Al Harrington and get younger players. They should also stop trying to win championships now and go into rebuilding. I think that you'll see them be a contender in 5 to 6 years if they make the rebuilding process start now. Be patient! Just Kidding I waited ten years for the Pistons to come back so maybe just a stroke of luck or something.

They are just like every other pretty good team, until they get a big man that can make a difference, they will be inconsistant and struggle just to compete for the last playoff spot ie.Duncan, Amare, Ben Wallace type guy. Plus they have trouble shooting free throws and injury problems. I will give them a free pass this year because of injuries. They played their first game at full strength against the Pistons the other night and they looked good. Baron is a great player, but he's only good for 60 games a season and he should be the 2nd best player on a team. Harrington needs to be a 10 rebound a night guy, I like Biedrins, I like Ellis, I like Stephen Jackson and Peitrus, so they have players. They need someone to compliment Biedrins down low, a shot blocker preferably. And they need to bring the defense every night. I think they should trade4 for Gasol. Just go for it, they got nothing to lose.
