Well you know some teams have not won a World Series. It kinda sad. Which team do you want to see win that have never won?
I would love to see the mariners because they have so many good players. I do not think the rays with ever win because of New York and Bosten.

Do you think he is going a good job with what he has? Do you see him doing everything he can to improve your team?

David Dombrowski is absolutely amazing what he has done in the few short years he has been GM of The Tigers.

He took a team that was the laughing stock for years and years and has turned them into contenders.

And please, we already know about brian cashman and theo epstein. I would love to hear what fans of other teams think.

In baseball, there is only one way (that I know of) in which a team can get a quadruple play. The fourth out must be an officially recognized out by the umpire and scorekeeper.

Has a quadruple play ever happened in MLB? Has anyone seen it happen in the minor leagues or in amateur baseball?

Who would you ask for in a trade if you were the Twins and offering Johan Santana?

The front-runners for Santana are the Mets, Red Sox, Yankees, Dodgers and Angels.

Of those five-teams who do you think can offer the best package and who would it consist of?

The Twins badly need a DH with some pop. Who should they go after this off-season because platooning Jason Kubel and Craig Monroe is not going to be ideal by any stretch of the imagination!

The LCS used to be a 5 game series. It was most dissatisfying, however, and finally became a 7 game set. The divisional series was introduced and as a 5 game set because the season would run too long, they said, if it were 7. It doesn't seem that those extra 2 games would be that detrimental to the post season. But if you agree that it would make the post season too long, shouldn't the LCS be the 5 game series since the wild cards are in the divisional series? It seems that they fare very well in the 5 game set, which is less decisive as to who is the better team. So -- should the LCS be made into a 5 game set, or should all the serieses be made into 7? What is your take on the post season?

The guy is worth $2Billion dollars and is pushing 93years old. He was too cheap to keep David Ortiz, he was too cheap to keep Torii Hunter, and now he's going to be too cheap to keep Johan Santana. The Twins are NEVER active in signing big name players. They want their farm system to come up and rise to superstar status. Im seriously sick of this guy. He's the biggest penny-pincher in the world.

Next Monday, 03-Dec, the Hall Of Fame will announce the results of the upcoming Veterans Committee Executives ballot. This is the other of the first two ballots under the newly revised VC, which the Hall announced in July following the third straight shutout by the old VC in February. This ballot is limited to ten candidates. As many of these names may be unfamiliar, their primary role is indicated:

Executives
Buzzie Bavasi (Dodgers GM, 1950-68)
Barney Dreyfuss (Pirates owner, 1900-32)
John Fetzer (Tigers owner, 1961-83)
Bob Howsam (Reds GM, 1967-78 & '83-84)
Ewing Kauffman (Royals owner, 1969-93)
Bowie Kuhn (Commissioner of Baseball, 1968-84)
John McHale (Braves GM 1959-66, Expos GM 1978-84, Expos president 1969-84)
Marvin Miller (director of the players union, 1966-84)
Walter O'Malley (Dodgers owner, 1950-late 70s)
Gabe Paul (Reds GM 1951-60, Indians GM 1961-69 & '71-72, Yankees GM/president 1973-78)

Please limit yourself to no more than four votes, just like the real electors.

Next Monday, 03-Dec, the Hall Of Fame will announce the results of the upcoming Veterans Committee Managers & Umpires ballot. This is one of the first two ballots under the newly revised VC, which the Hall announced in July following the third straight shutout by the old VC in February. This ballot is limited to ten candidates, as follows:

Managers
Whitey Herzog
Davey Johnson
Billy Martin
Gene Mauch
Danny Murtaugh
Billy Southworth
Dick Williams

Umpires
Doug Harvey
Hank O'Day
Cy Rigler

Like the real voters, limit yourself to no more than four Yes votes. So, who here in your opinion merits election to the Hall?

Special caveat: anyone voicing support of Billy Martin MUST explain their reasoning. A simple "he managed the Yankees to a championship" isn't nearly good enough. (I'd prefer explanations for any candidate, but for Martin I must insist on some real evaluative thinking.)

you don't see too many questions about these teams or hear much from their fans. I just read that Pittsburgh has taken itself out of the free agent market. Living in Cleveland and being an Indians fan, I can certainly understand the plight of the small market franchises but I do not understand the constant plight of teams like the Pirates who have been spiraling for decades now, much like the Indians did. However, the Indians turned the franchise around with the opening of Jacobs Field but PNC does not seem to have done the same for the Pirates. What is going on with these franchises? Why is Pittsburgh in such dire straits? Can an Andrew McCutcheon help?

if you are a true baseball history buff as I am, you will find this interesting. It also helps give a nice little lesson to those lacking in said history. I am very interested in the 1919 Black Sox scandal and the resultant banning of players such as the immortal Shoeless Joe Jackson. I would love any comments about the Chicago Black Sox. Should Shoeless Joe be taken off the banned list? What about Buck Weaver? Anyone else from the team? Anyone know much about this?

A healthy Lariano pitching behind Johan Santana would be a very formidable one-two punch, maybe the best in all of baseball. Many in Twins management believe Boof Bonser could also develop into a star and of course they have Nathan closing. Of course, the Twins also have the proven talent of Mauer, Cuddyer, and Morneau and they now also believe the two Jason's, Kubel and Bartlett have a good future ahead of them. What should we, as fans, make of all of this? Are the Twins going to be good enough to get to the playoffs in 2008 and if they do how good would they be with a healthy Lariano and Santana. Also, would this give added insentive for the Twins to sign Santana before he becomes a free agent after the 2008 season?
