no we dont want Scott Rolen back. We did it last year without him, we just fell to a team riding a really high, high. Things would have been different had we faced the Padres or Diamondbacks, but oh well. We will bounce back, our back of the bullpen is seeming to shape up, not if we can just get a #3 or #4 guy in our rotation. Ill see you there. section 317. row 1.

Forget Scott Rolen, he's a loser and always has been. The Phillies will win the NL Pennant if they can land a top line starter. Their lineup is the best in the NL and scored more runs then any other team in baseball last season with the exception of the Yankees.

They WILL go to the world series in 2008.

haha scott rolen

anyway - The Phils have a very good chance next year. They have a better starting rotation - especially if they stop using Adam Eaton. They do need work on their bullpen though [romero =)] But now Myers is in the rotation so i am a bit nervous for that.
However, we have golden glove all star potential defense, and silver slugger mvp offense. We are solid in that aspect. With our infield, balls will be stopped no matter what. and our outfield is also above average

Finally - Havng had a tiny taste of the playoffs, they are going to be wanting more. They can get there if they try

I also think that, with many free agents, the Mets and Braves will be a bit shakey, leaving room for little competition.

Whoa-When did this Scott Rolen thing happen? Was I sleeping? It all depends if we can get a good 3rd baseman and bullpen help but Shane,JRoll,Chase and Ryan at the top of the lineup looks like '08 will be alot of fun.

I think they have a great chance to win the N.L. East. They are however, going to have to get hotter earlier than the middle of September. I don't forsee the Phillies making it to the NLCS or even the World Series. Honestly, they don't have the pitching. Cole Hamels is a stud, but he cannot carry the entire pitching load. The Phillies are going to have to take care of their needs at 3rd base, pitching, and in CF (Aaron Rowand most likely will leave). But hey, they do have the reigning N.L. MVP coming back and Ryan Howard and of course Chase Utley. Basically, I would look for them to contend for their division, but that's it. Too many holes to fill.

They won the NL East, which is not significantly changed yet, except for the Mets letting Tom Glavine and Paul LoDuca go, which certainly doesn't hurt the Phils. I think they have to be the favorites again. Unless they make Brad Lidge the closer, in which case all bets are off.

I think they have a great chance next year. They have Ryan Howard, MVP Jimmy Rollins, Scott Rolen, Cole Hamels, and Chase Utley. They're going to the world series next year.

Same as they do every year. Now if they can pick up so decent power hitters, then they would be a top NL playoff resource, and maybe even make it to the 2008 World Series. Now, it isn't every year that a team that hardly makes it into the playoffs gets in to the World Series and I'm guessing they will not make the Playoffs next year anyway, because they will not get some decent power hitters.

I think they will do awesome...im a fan of the Twins...but my dad's friend is their backup catcher, Chris Coste...i no this is his second year and next year with be his third but i think he will have a good chance to become the regular catch and also they have Jimmy Rollins who is their MVP, & Chase Utley who are 2 great players...with them...they have a good chance in the World Series!!!Hope i helped!!!

They have some great players and depending how the other teams in the NL east stack up, they have a good chance.
