No, I don't think so. I don't think Mark Cuban is going to be the savior either. Cubs is Cubs. If he does buy the team, his smartest move would be to ensure continued frustration. Just as soon as they win the Cubs become just another team and the fan base of silly people who love losers will go looking for another subject.

I have said these before, and I will say it again, and even for mroe points, I don't the Chicago Cubs will ever will win the World Seires next year, nor in the future, you will be in your grave before this will ever happen. Sorry but that it just me, I have said it before, and I will say it many times, but I don't think the Chicago Cubs will ever prove me wrong nor will they have prove that they are serious about ending thier long drought.

That's difficult to say, but I certainly wouldn't be upset if they did. I've been a Yankee fan since 1961, but after them and the Phillies (my wife is from Philly) my next favorite team is the cubbies. It's only my opinion, but from what I've heard from a variety of venues, I'd have to say that there are a lot of cubbie fans in this country that aren't even from Chicago, and have never even been to Chicago...there's just something about that team that people like.. GO YANKS!! GO PHILLIES!! GO CUBBIES!!!

It depends if they don't suck. If they are terrible, they can kiss the series goodbye!
