Yankee fans also booed Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris so yeah they probably will. Given half a chance they would boo the ballboy if he misplays a foul grounder.

Not a Yankee fan, but just from watching Yankee -- Red Sox games enough to know that any Yankee who is cold is liable to be booed and it ends the minute he gets hot. A-Rod was booed mercilessly (much to our joy) in June 2006 until he won a game with a walk off grand slam. Then it was Valentine's Day until he hit into the next double play with men on base or the next error he committed with men in scoring position, etc. The standard is everyone not batting .1000 and not fielding .1000 gets booed at same time in Yankee Stadium. Don't like it, play for the Cardinals or something.

Nope. I never boo a player over things done off the field. If he stinks it up on the field then I boo him. Too much is being made of Alex opting out and then resigning. I give him the benefit of the doubt. Boras probably mislead him into thinking he could do better on the open market. Now its all history and it can't be changed. I say get over it and play ball. He's in a Yankee uniform therefore he's a Yankee.

My policy, as a Yankee fan, is to never ever boo anyone in the Yankees uniform. True fans never boo their own team. Boos are for the opposition.

Yes, not even Carl Pavano gets my boos.

Real Yankee fans realize that we needed A-Rod last year and this year. Our lineup is already full of lefty's, it would kill us to let an MVP righty go. No way am I booing A-Rod. I would never boo a Yankee's player.

P.S. Unless their name is Carl Pavano. He's a special case.

Yankees fans will boo Alex Rodriguez until the day he hits a MEANINGFUL homerun in the playoffs.

Alex Rodriquez is like a lost dog, who thought he could test the free agent market with his hefty price tag. He soon found himeself alone and squabling after a lost hope. He realized that the yankees were who he truly wanted to play for.

It is simple human nature. And I can relate to that. I will welcome him back on opening day.

No I will not. But some people might. That's just the mentality of New Yorkers. We don't take crap from anyone. I won't hold it against them if they want to boo him. That's their prerogative.
