The following should have been inducted years ago:
Rich "Goose" Gossage
Jim Rice
Andre Dawson
Alan Trammell
Dave Parker
Don Mattingly
and the greatest right fielder of his day who isn't on this list, Dwight Evans

As far as Mark McGwire, his name should be removed from the list permanently.

Raines should make it and I think will, although he might not be first ballot. Nobody else on the new list either should or I think will.
Blyleven should make it from the second list; I'm not sure how he has done in recent polling. I would also vote for Smith as one of the top relievers (and since he is probably the best eligible not in the Hall). I would have to look at Gossage's numbers more.
I think I would also say should/will for Trammell.

Everyone else on the holdover list falls short or has the whole roids thing (Mac).

This is Goose's year - he'll squeak in with around 80% of the vote. One or two of the other holdovers (Jim Rice, Mark McGwire, and Bert Blyleven are the most likely ones) might make it, but I wouldn't bet on it. I don't see any of the first-timers as likely, at least not on their first ballot.

Tim Raines deserves it. He palyed baseball like it was supposed to. I would like to see Jim Rice finally get in also. He was the Red Sox in the late 70's early 80's. Bert Blyleven was one of the best pitchers of his time. He deserves consideration. Don Mattingly played on the lousiest Yankee teams of the the 70's and 80's. He was the light in the darkness for 16 years.

Gossage will be the only one because I doubt they will allow no one being voted in.. But that 1st timer class is a joke... How some of those people are even considered is embarassing.. Only ones I might consider would be Beck and Nen and even then that's a stretch..

Tim Raines is close to a lock in this years field. I'd love to see Jim Ed get in as well. I've never been a Blyleven fan but he deserves to be in Cooperstown.
