Barring injury, this team looks like a playoff team. Won 83 games despite all the injuries this year. Can they compete for the wild card and give the Bosox somewhat of a challenge to win the division?

I'm a casual fan, I'm happy if they win, but I don't beat the kids if they lose. I was checking on them, and I'm seeing them get rid of some big names (i.e. Jenkins, Sheets...) My question being, Are these guys crazy, or am I missing the bigger picture?

even if he wasn't the worst defensive player I've ever seen Tulo would still have a chance for rookie of the year.

Between him and Scott Boras they are ruining baseball.

Your thoughts?

A-Rod has never cheated. The play in Toronto was legal and if their career minor league 3B wasn't professional enough to catch the ball HE should be considered "bush league". Even little leaguers have no problem making that play w/ players yelling at them.

Giambi admitted to steriod use. Makes 60-70% of what A-Rod makes, doesn't produce half to a third as much as A-Rod, and last time I checked doesn't have any rings either.

So where's the logic in that smart guys?

Alright Arod is the greatest player I have ever watched and I have never seen someone so hated for being good. People say that he is in it for the money only, but yet it is the politics of baseball that make Arod sign a big contract. The more money Arod gets, the more money other players will get and the happier the players union is. People also call him a choke artist and he led the league in game winning hits. The "bad year he had with the yankees he had more rbis than lowell and he is looked at as a hero by red sox fan. People yell at him for leaving New York when he had fans boo him when he came to the plate. The only thing he does wrong is lately he has been unsuccessful in the playoffs, but I believe it is because the yankees fans are booing him and he gets no support from his clubhouse. When he was with seattle he had a lot of success in the playoffs. Nobody cares when Scilling files for free agentcy the day of the Red Sox perade, and Yankees fans don't even get on juiced Giambi

I'm going to say Aramis Ramirez. And as strange as it sounds, I think Jorge Posada is somewhat underrated. Even though he plays in NY, I think he gets overlooked.

Would the Angels solve their playoff offensive problems by signing A-Rod? Would it force teams to throw better pitches to Vladdy? and i dont want any go yanks or go red sox answers, only non-bandwagon fans with legit answers will get a shot at best answer ... thanks.

Its the only sport where officials are added for the post. Is the reg. season not important? 6 man crews all year round, and no replay. Stadium buliders need to make more distint markings, Not a blended pepsi ad with a line on it. I think the 1st row in the outfield should have a basket like wrigley. EVERYWHERE

Clements spent 17 years in pro ball from 1884-1900 mostly with the Philadelphia Phillies. He had 77 home runs, (considered a lot for those days), 687 RBI's, and a career .286 average with a .347 OBP and a .421 slugging percentage. Though his numbers for those days were acceptable to above average, what one thing separates him from every other player that held his position?
