I hope not!!!! It would make NO sense for them. They already have Theriot (who really should be playing 2nd), Derosa, Fontenot and Eric Patterson as a top prospect in the minors. They have far to many other needs than a 2nd basemen. I dont even buy the angle that they are looking at Kaz to help them land the Japanese RF. They are also looking at some pitchers over there and could just as easily and probably at a lower cost, sign a Japanese pitcher

Hopefully they get Kaz Matsui because he is nothing special and he will be a flop in Chicago.
