Say that the yankees play the red sox at home. One of the bosox pirchers is throwing a no hitter. But the arod is on first in the ninth inning and the red sox are about to win. Then melky hits a ball but arod touches it on the basepaths. Is that a no hitter?

So my friend got into this arguement during baseball for our Gym class. Our teacher doesnt know how baseball works ( Sad) but anyways, so i was on first base and before as soon as the pitcher began to get ready to throw i was moving away from the base towards 2nd. And so he calls me a cheater cause im moving towards second base before the batter hits the pitch. Im no baseball expert but i believe that moving away from the base before the pitcher throws it at the batter IS ALLOWED? He keeps yelling me a cheater and says he knows i cant do that because he played baseball in middle school. God middle school dont teach you the right rules anyways... so whose right?

the Cubs for the next 8 years or whatever his contract is, I know it's huge, 130-140 million. He wound up with 33 HR's, only 70 RBI's, batted .299 and had 173 hits. I understand why Piniella bats him lead-off, to get the team started, etc, and he had plenty of lead-off Home Runs this season. It seems like he had like 15-20 lead off HR's and he finished the season very strong. But for a player who is making this kinda money, you really want to see him hit 45-50 HR's and have 130-150 RBI's. They really need to bat him clean-up next year, or 3rd. Piniella was switching him around in the line-up in the beginning of the season, because Soriano wasn't producing, but he realized that he should keep him batting lead-off when the Cubs started to win. I would grade the Cubs season as a "B". They made the playoffs, so that is always nice, but lost in the first round. Piniella's season would be also graded a "B" for the same reasons, however, I would grade Soriano at like a C+ or B-

With their stacked team I think it's an easy yes. They have 3 solid top tier starters and a outstanding lineup. Not to mention Evan Longoria about to come up from the minors. It sucks they are in the AL East. I would love to see that team get some fair competition.

Im a red sox fan and I know abotu teh whole sox-yanks rivalry and Im not an idiot. It's one thing though to hate a team and another to say they suck. Neither team sucks, in fact they are the two best teams in baseball hands down in my opinon and have been for sometime. I dont like the yanks but I never say they're a bad team. Even after the sox won teh world series this year all that yankee fans say is either "well, the yanks won 26 and how many have the sox won?" or "it doesnt mater, they suck anyway". I'll never understnad it, someone wanna try give an explanation for this?

I've noticed some people giving best answers mostly to the people who like the same team as themselves. Do you truly pick who has the best answer or do you favor some people?
