No doubt!! The Rays are a solid team up and down, and hypothetically when matched up against most NL teams you've gotta admit: they look goooood. They got power, speed, pitching, and youth. With a little bit of a chance in the NL more fans would come to see them play because they would be winning, then ownership could loosen the purse strings some and put together a solid playoff team.
A Marlins/Devil Rays matchup is always more fun to watch than people give it credit for. I live in Florida and get to see both teams locally. They are 2 very well run organizations. Sadly, the Marlins are the only one of the 2 that have a chance since they ARE in the NL.
It's nice to dream isn't it? (Go Yanks btw)

Maybe. That's a tough call. They do have some good young pitching and hitting. But the travel schedule would be brutal. They'd constantly have to be flying out the west coast. Or would they actually move out west? I'd recommend Vegas, Portland or maybe Southern California. They don't have enough teams down there. They could be the Los Angeles Rays of Burbank. Or maybe they could play at the bottom of that giant impact crater in Arizona. Would the dry air speed up the healing process in Baldelli's limbs? There are just so many questions to be answered.

the devil rays are always 20 games out at the end of the season. No division will change that. They'll either suck or be great depending on their players, not their division. A different division isnt enough to lose a 20 game deficit. Come on.

Amen alanpolkoftheusa!! If you look at average number of wins per team the NL West was the best in all of baseball. Its just amazing to me how many people on this board don't realize there is any good baseball west of the Mississippi.

Devil Rays? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? The Devil Rays? They suck. The NL West had two teams in the playoffs, and they have a lot of young talent and pitching. Devil Rays, they only have Crawford and Kazmir. Anyways, the NL West hitters would bat like .999 against the Devil Rays.

The Rays would probably win more games, and they would get the Wild Card by .5 games or so.
