I was thinking David Cone, but he wasn't on the '86 Mets.

I don't think there was such a player who was on the '86 Mets who also won with the Yankees in '96, '98, '99 and '00.

And I believe the only Yankee on the '69 Mets was Ron Swoboda, who didn't win a World Series with the Yankees.

And Yogi retired before the Mets won, I know that.

Either this question is extremely hard, or just doesn't make any sense.

j_gatsby94, I never knew Yogi was a coach in '69. The question was misleading, since Yogi won 10 championships with the Yankees.

Yogi Berra.

Edit: He may have asked "player" and Yogi was a player. Yogi is also the ONLY person to have 1 ring w/ the Mets and 4 w/ the Yankees. No other player or coach or manager has that. Except Casey Stengel... but Stengel took 7 titles w/ the Yankees so it leaves only Yogi as Stengel didn't win ANY as a player on either team. :D

Considering the Mets have only won 2 World Series, it has to be a trick question. Like Lee Mazzilli.

The answer is Yogi Berra. Many forget he was a coach for the '69 Mets.

Being a coach should be irrelevant. The question clearly asked for a player.
