Col B - you couldn't be any more incorrect.

i do no longer think of the two one in all them ought to have gained the MVP. The electorate have been given it precise in 2006 because of the fact Justin Morneau become extra effectual to the Twins than Jeter to the Yankees. This 365 days the electorate have been given it incorrect. i for my section sense they chosen Pedroia because of the fact his 5 video games hitting 4th at the back of David Ortiz become blown way out of proportion by making use of the folk at ESPN and SportsCenter. Francisco Rodriguez become for sure the main expensive participant on the group with the main wins and could have been offered the MVP. placed somebody like Scott Shields obtainable as closer and opportunities are high a minimum of 15 to twenty of those sixty two saves are not wins for the Angels and the Angels leave out the playoffs.

Playing any sport with a degenerative injury, no matter how heroic it may appear to be, is not a wise decision to make. in the case of broken bones, it is possible to damage the break worse and cause irrepairable damage requiring painfull and extensive surgery. It also has the potential to shorten ones playing career and cause life long pain and suffering, and to what end. A few minutes of hero worship by a bunch of fickle fans who will turn on you next time you fail, or forget you within two seasons once you are forced to prematurely retire with a permanent dissability. Nothing heroic about being disabled by your own ego.

He's not the first. And cetainly wont be the last.

Roger Maris played with a broken hand the year after he hit 61. It was not diagnosed before the end of the season. I effectively ruined his career.

As a die-hard yankees fan i have to say duston pedroia has to be one of the most annoying players in the world to me (which obviously means hes good) he always seems to comeup with a big hit or make a sweet play at second. hes a promising player. now the rivalry of the young second basemans will begin with robinson cano for the yanks and dustin pedroia.

Not unusual, not usually amazing, but he's a rookie.
So I applaud Dustin, plus I hope he won't become like A-Rod.
Good for half a decade then thrown away.

Go Nation!
Go Beckett!
Go 1, 2, 3, and 4!
GO SOX!!

I think it's awesome. What's even more awesome is he didn't complain. I'm sure a lot of guys would sit around and whine, while Pedroia played like nothing happened. If it wasn't for him the Sox wouldn't have won the Series, it's that simple. Good man.
