I'm going to say Aramis Ramirez. And as strange as it sounds, I think Jorge Posada is somewhat underrated. Even though he plays in NY, I think he gets overlooked.

I have to go with three players who are all some of favs
you are 100% right about Aramis [I'M A CUBS FAN]
he got robbed of a Gold Glove this year too
and his offense has always been amazing

my others are Carl Crawford [he does it all, 5 tool player, but he can also definitely hit more homers if not for a shitty ballpark]

and Scott Kazmir
he keeps getting better and better every single season
he's always been great and I was a fan of his from when he was still a Met [I bet the Mets feel like idiots seeing how well he is doing now! HAHAHA! LOSERS!]

I agree, I think Jorge Posada is highly underrated. He had better stats that Jeter this season in every single category. He should be Captain, or at least co-Captain. I also think Melky Cabrera is also underrated... but he's only getting better. :-)

Placido Polonco 2nd baseman for Detroit Tigers. Dude is worth admission alone. Plays his heart out every single day. Always thinking, knows whats going on all the time, puts the bat on the ball, places it anywhere, and does great fielding. Got his first gold glove this year, was third in batting ave. Great player to watch.

Jorge Posada and Robinson Cano are both overlooked, because all the Yankee hype is on Arod, Jeter, Rivera, Clemens/Pettitte.

How about Garrett Atkins? Look at his numbers the past 2 years. And no one had even heard of him until this OCtober. He's not a bad 3b either.

Carlos Pena of the Tampa Bay Rays. He had a monster season last year but since he plays in Tampa, it pretty much went unnoticed.

Placido Polanco - hit .341 this year, and led the league in strikeout/at bat ratio the last 2 seasons. He also had 0 (zero) errors this year, winning his first Gold Glove.

Erik Bedard (and I'm not a O's fan)
Also Jimmy Rollins has got to be on the list.

Other noteables: Roy Halladay, B. Webb, Hanley Ramierez, P. Polanco, Ryan Braun (scary potential).

Tim Wakefield. He's been the most verstatile pitcher for the Sox since he got there. Goes out, does his job, keeps his big yap shut and will do anything they ask him to do. PLUS I think he's got close to as many wins as Pedro did for the Sox. There were times when Pedro was down when Wakefield carried that team on his back. Sox fans make fun of him all the time. But he's been a gamer for them.
