Is it true that the 1919 Black Sox really "threw" the World Series?? If so, why the heck did they do such a thing?!?! If you have any info on this can you please explain this to me! I just heard about it a couple of days ago and I am curious, Thanks!! best answer gets 11 points!!

How much is a 2001 topps Babe Ruth card?? It has something on it like 500 Home Run Club. On the back it says 2001 Collector's Series-1of 6 Cards. Is it worth anything??????

Don't get me wrong, I'm a Yankee fan and Jete is my fav player, but he seems to be beyond all critisism. I mean, Yanks got eliminated in ALDS, everybody piles on ARod who had just the 1HR and poor avg but the Captain wasn't exactly clutch either. This year at least.

And Jeter is making 20mil a year for the end of his contract, his numbers don't justify that. Leadership and intangibles mean a lot, but 20 mil? He has never won a batting title(even A Rod has one), is not a HR, RBI guy, and is begining to lose his speed on the bases and in the field.

Yes, I think he cheated and knowingly did so. But why is every other question on here asking if he's guilty? Forget him,thats why they have attourneys to find out who did what. The same goes for Michael Vick ..

This is a prime example of how pathetic the federal government is. All Bonds did was lie about taking steroids to a grand jury, or something like that. Boo hoo, with all the other issues going on in America and the world today, this seems like an issue the federal government need not worry about. What is it their business, it's Major League baseball's business! The charges are so pathetic, it's the only way they can charge Bonds with anything, obstruction and perjury. Those are two of the biggest BS charges EVER.

These will be dropped or easily beaten before spring training.

Because he usually says how the Bombers haven't won in the 21st century so i'm curious what else he would say about them. Why is it that white people criticize blacks and other minorities for defending our athletes, yet whites always try to put rose in a better light by slamming Bonds?

Rose bet on baseball knowingly despite there being rules against it, while Barry used roids when MLB ignored them while Mcgwire used them in 98.

Rose also allegedly corked his bat and used amphetamines, and as a manager put himself in games so he could break Cobb's record despite the fact that he sucked.

So, why is it that people, specifically white baseball fans, kiss Rose's **** so much but slam people like Stephen A smith for doing the same to Bonds?

27.5 million a year for ten years- I remember when 27 or 28 million spread over five years was huge.

I'm a Mets fan so my team can actually afford to take on these huge salaries, but I gotta feel for the Pirates and Royals fans out there...

I heard they offered him a 3 year 45 mil contract i heard he wont agree because of the Yankees not offereing him a 4th year , i Say Yankees give him a fourth year PLEASE many Fans love and apreciate Rivera and want him back and i would tell mo Just accept the 3 years if they wont give you the 4th year
