Since when did we consider Yankees fans people?

2007-11-17 03:57:15 · answer #1 · answered by Michael 1 · 4 5

Because they don't believe it's their god given right to win every year like Yankees fans do. When they lose they don't have 1 million & 1 excuses why they lost and why they're really the better team and then start bragging about old WS wins that most of them weren't even alive to see not to mention most of the players aren't even alive anymore.
That's good for starters!

Red Sox fans have seen the bitter losses and still stuck by the team for years. They don't wine when the team doesn't go get the biggest free agent on the market and pay him an over priced contract. The realize they are the only team in the AL East with the resourses to compete with the Yankees and pay the higest ticket prices in basebal for that exact reason and love it Red Sox fans don't booo their own players off the field after 1 bad game (or 1 2/3 innings like Roger Clemens this year...classless). Red Sox fans gave a standing ovation to Yankee 1st baseman Doug Mientkiewicz when he had a serious injury and was able to make it too his feet before being helped off the field in Fenway Park; Just to show their respect...a Yankee fan would (and probably has) spit on a RED SOX player in that situation in Yankee Stadium and that is the best example of why a RED SOX fan is a better person than a YANKEES fan!
Respect for the players & the game.

Everyone needs to stop using the term, "Get your facts straight."
May I ask which exact facts we're supposed to be getting straight? Are you considering how long they've supported the team, how much trash they talk, or what conditions are like living in their city? I don't think this is a really good question in the first place because it's not specific, but if you guys are gonna squabble over stupid points, at least pick one.

DYankeeFan:
1- Boston is the most racist city on the planet? Ever been to some places in the south where they still wave confederate flags proudly? I doubt it.
2-Even if Boston is a tough city to live in as a minority, (which it is, along with every other major city in this country), why do you only care about African Americans? I assume by this you mean people with dark colored skin but your just using African American as the p.c. term. What about oh, I don't know, Dominicans? They look very similar to most African Americans but you don't even consider that they would face prejudice. Think things through.
3- I'd like to see you prove that Boston is any more racist than other major cities, because NYC isn't exactly a cake walk either. Maybe you should 'get your facts straight.'

Neither team's fans are better than the other team's fans. Both teams have loyal & arrogant fans. What makes one team's fans better than the other? If you like the Red Sox or Yankees, root for them & cheer them on, but honestly, no team's fans are better than another team's fans. I lile the Yankees & can't stand the Red Sox but I do respect them as a team because they are a good team. Do any Boston fans feel the same way about the Yankees? I am sure there are some.

I hate the Yankees better than something, whether surely, there is not plenty you will have the skill to declare to them in this type of a banter. they have extraordinarily plenty all the enjoying cards. The "We won 5 international series in the past than you even made the submit season" is surely amazing uninteresting. It in basic terms reminds you that the purple Sox super days were a one hundred years interior the previous. the main suitable ingredient we particularly have is the completed 0-3 comeback in 2004. The Yankees are the only team interior the historic previous of maximum severe actual events to blow a three-0 play off lead. They do might desire to consume that. yet provided that they only won the series very final twelve months and have a staggering possibility to do it as quickly as greater this twelve months, even that has lost an excellent style of its burn as a comeback. i might in basic terms avert the communication. do not date a Yankees fan, in case you will have the skill to avert it.

Why are they better people??? Have you ever been to Boston?? This has got to be the most racist place on the planet. Taxis don't stop for African Americans and don't even think about going into a bar. You should get your facts right before you say something like this. How long have you been a Red Sox fan, anyway? Let me guess, since 2004??

You can say Red Sox fans are better fans then Yankee fans but to say they are better people is just wrong.

such a controversy regarding this question! I did find some things amusing, like the White Sox 2005 Fan who has a Tigers emblem as his/her avatar, whats up with that? pretty goofy, plus they derided you to "get your facts straight" when in reality, they spelled "rude" as "ride"--apparently, this whitesox/tiger fan doesn't proof read their answers...i give emily daffodil my vote for best answer, she said it all quite well...
