It was a push, both teams got what they were looking for. Rather insignificant for both teams overall.

Yeah, It was a good trade for the Braves, Anderson can fill the hole at center field if he must, and will be a good speedy outfielder for the future.
Villareal, on the other hand was a long middle relief pitcher, as well as an emergency starter. He will be replaced easily and probably cheaply.
To continue about the Braves, off of the question, It looks like there Rotation next year could be.
1. Tim Hudson
2. John Smoltz
3.Tom Glavine
4. Mike Hampton
5. Chuck James.

I think that it was a good trade and the braves will benefit from it. Both teams got what they needed. I think that Josh Anderson might be a good fit in center field for the Braves.

I like the trade for the Braves. It didnt cost much, it replaced Jones fast step in the outfield (maybe not the catching ability..but the speed).
It gives us a leadoff man that can get to 2nd fairly quickly.
It also left quiet a bit of cap room open to sign another starting pitcer..above and beyond Glavine.
I think they will sign a big name starter yet known.

No, I still don't like the Braves in that trade. Villerial was a very good reliever.

I agree with Frizzer.
not much happened on either side, shouldn't affect the teams that much.
But I think the Astros got the better end of the deal.

i think it will all even out, but this can take away the possibility of getting either Andruw Jones, or Coco Crisp, if they plan to keep Anderson in the majors
