Ok, everybody --- Lowell is not going to the Yankees for the last time. A-Rod is pretty much a done deal. Lowell will either stay in Boston, or he'll be in Dodger Blue back in the NL. Please drop the issue of Lowell in pinstripes --- not gonna happen.

I'm definitley hoping so. Us Sox fans don't want to lose our MVP! Its very unlikely, though, that Mike Lowell will be going to the Yankees.
He has an offer with the Red Sox, so its just a matter of time before we find out.

I'd say the chances are 70/30 in favor of him coming back to the SOX! the Yankees won't sign him they're just trying to run up his price3 for the RED SOX, they do it every time they have a free agent on the market. Plus, one can only hope the Yankees learned from the whole Johnny Damon debacle!

Why should he go to New York to be just another face on the bench, when he could stay in Boston and stay a beloved 3rd baseman?
The yanks don't need another 1st baseman anyway.
If you have
Doug Meintkiewicz, Andy Phillips, & Jason Giambi
why do you need another 1st baseman?
It would be rather funny though if Lowell go down to NY, he'd be exactly like Damon. x]
