Why do some people on here ask questions just to get all pissed off when there is a difference in opinion? I enjoy the fact that there are all different people with all different opinions. OH and to make this legit....Do you think that HGH was used by the majority of players prior to the ban?

They don't want this good feeling story to be tarnished so they are making 1 million excuses for Rick Ankiel. Meanwhile when it wasn't proven that Bonds did it almost everyone bashed him even though he didn't fail a MLB steroid test. I'm not saying Bonds didn't do it but i do see the obvious doublestandard of him being found guilty by the media & many fans while looking the other way or making excuses all of a sudden for Rick Ankiel. Many of these same fans who bashed Bonds for months are now all of a sudden defending Rick Ankiel. Obvious hypocrisy & doublestandard? Looks that way to me.

are all Honus wegnar cards worth money> what about those mini cards, about 1 x 2 that are more like a drawing of the player on a glossy background card? i think these came with cigs or gum but not sure. thanks

La Russa getting a DUI in Spring Training, losing Chris Carpenter after the first game of the season, having 4 of the 5 starters from the World Series team leave the team, the death of reliever Josh Hancock, injuries to key players like Scott Rolen, Jim Edmonds, the disappointment of Kip Wells, Anthony Reyes and Adam Kennedy, Juan Encarnacion getting hit in the face with a foul ball on deck, and now Rick Ankiel accused of taking HGH in 2004.
YES, they are in a weaker division but they still have fought their way back in this race. I don't think there's anyone else besides La Russa who could have a team still playing inspired.

He ordered a 12-month supply of HGH (Human Growth Hormone) in 2004, one year before MLB banned the substance. Ankiel didn't order anymore of the drug after it was banned. While the drug was not illegal in baseball at the time, I'm still disappointed that Ankiel used it. Although it was legal at the time, do you think he'll get in any kind of trouble?
