what material, if its mess im not sure you can shrink it, but you could cut the inside liner (the one that goes around the bottom edge on the inside) straight up and down not all the way. then sew the cut so the liner is overlaping with the other.
Never tried this, but i did stay in a holiday in last night!

i dont know why youd wanna shrink a cap, but if you put it on a boil wash that will do the trick.

If it is made of wool, once it gets wet, it will shrink. Wouldn't it be easier to buy the proper size?
