At some point yes unfortunately. But in regards to this year, look at how they've played recently against good solid teams. They are 1-5 against the Yankees in the 2nd half, if they face off in the LCS there is no way they can get it done. Your rookies are impressive but they won't be on the playoff roster. The only team they can beat right now in the AL playoff picture is the Angles and that's not even a sure thing. You have every reason as a Boston fan to be excited about the playoffs, but you have no reason to be confident about getting through the playoffs so easily.

The Red Sox and the Angels have to look like the most likely competitors in this year's ALCS. If the Red Sox can get past the Angels, a very tall order, the Red Sox would probably be the heavy favorite over any of the Mets, Padres, D'Backs, or whoever limps in to win the NL Central.
There are many reasons why the Red Sox were not successful from1919 through 2003. With John Henry as owner and Theo Epstein as general manager, maybe they are positioned to overcome those problems. Or not.

Like "Survivor", they have simpley outplayed, outsmarted, and outwitted every team in the league.

What's amazing is the the contributions of the rookies...amazing.

Jacoby Ellsbury has been incrediclble, and Clay Buckholz...well that's just special.

Seems like they have the veteran talent and the youthful enthusiasm to pull it off...

I imagine baseball will be around for another 100 years or so, so I'm going to guess that in that span they win at least once.
