tense to assert. you should seem at key stats and such. enable's learn Nolan Ryan holds the record for many no hitters with 7. Roger has none. Nolan holds the strikeout record yet Roger is 2d, and that i dont' see Roger breaking it, or all of us for that count. Roger has greater wins and much less losses than Nolan and Roger has been on some WS winners, Ryan replaced into on one, his rookie year and not even optimistic he replaced into on the roster for the time of submit season. If it have been a unmarried game situation i might probable take Nolan Ryan, yet for a season i pass with Clemens. On any given day Ryan replaced into unstoppable, yet Clemens might nicely be unstoppable for a whole season.

You are kidding, right?Roger Clemens has more wins and fewer losses. Those two stats alone make him the winner here.Strikeouts are an overrated stat.If you don't think so,think Greg Maddux.No-hitters are just as much luck as anything else.(Think Clay Buchholz from Boston this year).Nolan Ryan pitched into his late 40's?Satchel Paige was in his 50's.And Roger Clemens is in his 40's right now, also.Clemens has more Cy Young awards and has pitched more World Series and/or playoff games than Ryan.Nolan Ryan averaged about 1.5 games over .500 for his career.Pick The Rocket in this matchup every time.

Clemens wins easily.

In an era of strong pitching Nolan posted an ERA of 3.19. In the era of smaller ballparks and more offense, Clemens _still_ has a lower ERA (3.13).
Their ERA+ stats are not even close (143 vs 112)

Clemens has also been much better at keeping runners off the bases. RC's WHIP of 1.143 is 86th best of all-time. NR's WHIP of 1.247 is 257th.

This isn't a big deal but Nolan was a horrible fielding pitcher (career FP = .895) while Clemens' is quite good (career FP=.973).

Nolan because he was a freak he played until he was 47 had seven no hitters and many of them came after he was 35 years old. While the Rocket played with players such as Mcgwire Sosa Griffey Jr. Ichiro, Nolan played in real ballparks not ones like there are today with smaller dimensions

roger

Not even close.

If Clemens would have to lose about 140 straight decisions to get his winning percentage down to where Ryan's is.
