I'd really like to know, after all Barry Bonds did it. I thought only steroids and HGH did that but according to the lovely people of San Fran, this isn't true. Inquiring minds would like to know the secret.

When I read Eckersley's Wikipedia page, I was surprised that it stated that Tony LaRussa was given credit for this novel idea that began 19 years ago.

I could have sworn I witnessed some closers way before him that did this type of role. I thought the star closers of 30+ years ago like Rollie Fingers, Bruce Sutter, and Bill Campbell (to name just a few) would mostly pitch only to get the final three outs of the game.

Preferably someone who watched and followed Major League Baseball way before 1988 (and with a good memory of what the bullpens were like at the time) could answer this

Just wondering what people are wondering about number 755

According to Wikipedia, Babe Ruth hit 765 home runs under the current ruling. Under the current foul ball rules Babe Ruth hit 765 researched home runs. The 50 were recorded as foul under previous foul ball rules. The number could be greater than 50. It could be 78 because it has been said that there were extra home runs on top of the 50 that have not been verified. The extras have not been verified like the 50. If the ball went past the poll and went foul after passing the poll and the fence, the ball was declared foul. Another rule was changed on wikipedia to give Ruth 715 home runs because of the new walk off scoring rule. They said that the MLB only gave him one walk off. I would have thought that he had more than one in his baseball career.

Roger Clemens is also a baseball player where his head and body has grown as he got older and he's been able to be a good pitcher even though he is in his 40's? Why doesn't anyone bring his name up? Is it b/c he is a media darling?

what are some things you yell out to an umpire at a baseball game when he makes a bad call?

ex- "i hope you dont plan on driving home today!"

He's not giving Bonds anything to hit. Guess he doesn't want to be in the record books twice.

why the * ?? i don't understand...is that a bad sign or a good one?? the man hit 755+ home runs...that's great! plus is great to see, because i'm alive to see it, Alex Rodriguez, and i hope, might break that record one day...i hope i'm alive to see that too.....but then again, my question, what is the * ? anyone??

2007-08-04 16:34:32 · 10 answers · asked by Anonymous

Every one knows he does not deserve to break the record. So why are pitchers still pitching to him? They should walk him everytime he comes to bat, better to lose the game then lose all dignity left in the sport. Hank Aaron was a class act, Bonds is not fit to tie his shoes

There is no proof that he took anything. If there was he would have been indited by now. Prosecuters can't even find dirt on him. Have you ever asked your self why??

And has anyone also noticed that almost all bonds haters are white? Not all but 90%
I am asking this question because I was watching the game at one of my friends house. When Barry hit 755 One of the white boys stood up and said I hate n*ggers and this is less than an hour ago. I got up and let him have it. If you know what I mean

I am pissed typing this right now Knowing that all these racists F*cks exit in the world
