Roger Clemens is also a baseball player where his head and body has grown as he got older and he's been able to be a good pitcher even though he is in his 40's? Why doesn't anyone bring his name up? Is it b/c he is a media darling?

Unlike Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens has never had a dramatic increase in his statistics. Roger has simply been consistent. Roger has done it through hard work and working out. Let's face the facts, Bonds was never a Home Run machine until the recent past. Clemens has been a consistent 20 game winner, Cy Young award winner and just plain great pitcher!

No one has ever been able to prove anything about Clemens. His stats are consistent, and to people who say his head and body have grown over the years, do you look the same you look a few years ago? I have actaully met Clemens at the Park Avenue Country Club in NYC, and I will say his thighs are bigger than my entire body, but until his name comes up in some type of congressional testimony he is innocent.

When did Clemens become "a media darling"? The reason people are crucifing Bonds is because he's getting ready to break baseball's most important record. And him being a complete ******** doesn't help.

Because what the rocket is doing has been done before. He's mos def not the first pitcher to throw 90mph at 44 yrs old. If you can find one batter with Bonds-esq numbers from when that player was 36 thru 42, I swear I'll eat my monitor...

Bonds is an idiot who deserves his derision but Selig and the Players Union are the real villains. PEDs should be a lifetime ban article, but they aren't. If they were there would be no speculation about so and so or who and who.
And then we could be disgusted with Bonds just because he is the biggest jerk in sports.

That's true. Clemens just doesn't draw as much attention to himself by neglecting the press.

Definitely, people wouldn't be getting on Barry's case if he was better to his fans, his critics and the media. If you're a jerk be prepared to be judged more harshly that's all there is to it.

Look at Mcgwire, he was obviously on the juice but people still love him. Why? Because he's so personable!

That's exactly why. I've always said that if that was Griff Jr. instead of Bonds it wouldn't be as big a deal.
