he used steriods...
he broke the record but with the help of steriods..
hank aaron set that record clean without steriods...
barry's a joke...
i mean its obvious he used steriods...
if you look at him when his career started he was half the size he is now...
there is no way i respect him

With or without steroids he was a much better player than most will ever be. I respect that part of him. If all the speculation and signs that suggest he took steroids are correct, then I don't respect that. However, I don't completely blame him. We shouldn't put it all on him and give Selig and everyone else in baseball a free pass. He had to go through a ton of seasons to pile up these homerun numbers. I'll consider that to be the record from now on until it's broken again.

as a giants fan, yes. he did more than hit HRs and entertain us for the last decade. he is the reason why san francisco still has a baseball team. signing him in 1992 kept the giants from moving to florida. that is why all san franciscans will respect him, for keeping the team where it belongs, the city by the bay.

I respect him. he may not be the nicest guy in the world but he still did a major accomplishment & for that give him his due. Until he is convicted under a court law i wil continue to feel that way.
