i don't know Thomas...if you don't pitch to him, it only adds to his inflated ego. everyone knows he's a cheater and his victory would be a hollow one. everyone knows he's not fit to be a towel boy for the bat boy of hank arron.
i say pitch to him and get his rear out of the spotlight. its only a game. ahem, only a game unless of course we were talking about the angels!

First things first.........the pitchers are doing there job by pitching to Bonds weather they like it or not it could be there job on the line if they intentionally let him walk. They never prove that Bonds took steroids. So thing is people should get over it and enjoy the game. Now what people should be worried about is when is that rat bas**** Bud Selig going to let Pete Rose in the Hall of Fame. I think Pete deserve to be in Cooperstown just like every body else who desevres to be there. Look ay what he did when he played not at why he did it. there are other players who did far worst then what he did. Yes Hank Aaron is a class act always has and always will be. Years down the line will he be in the Hall such as great players like Ruth,Mantle ,Hank and Mayes. Pete rose never took "Steriods" and he is the all time career in hits (4,256)
singles (3,215) @ bat (14,0530) games played (3,562). This will blow over in a few weeks. Why is everybody in a brew ha ha over Barry Bonds? If he was on the Yankees nobody would give a rats @** bout it. Just say that they might get a pennant to go the World Series.

I agree that pitchers shouldn't pitch to him, but not everyone shares our feelings that Bonds used steroids to set his accomplishments. Despite all the evidence, there are still people out there who thinks that Bonds never used steroids. If there are people out there, there must be pitchers and managers who feel the same way.
Is it better to lose a game than to let Bonds hit #756? I don't think so because some players have a clause in their contract that gives them a bonus just for making the playoffs, and since it's still early, it's hard to say whether or not 1 game is going to make a difference between staying at home and playing in the playoffs, so better to play it safe and try to win every game, even if it means pitching to Bonds.
It's not the pitchers fault that Selig didn't do anything to punish players who used steroids. Selig was well aware that steroids was heavily used during the 80s and 90s, but he still refuses to do anything about it because the HR chase between McGwire and Sosa was bring fans back to baseball.
Look on the bright side, how long do you think Bonds is going to hold tha record? Probably less than a decade. A-Rod already has 500 HR, Pujols will surpass 300 next year.
The record book may say that Bonds holds the record for most HRs, but most people still consider Hank Aaron to be the HR leader.

I agree with you that Aaron was a class act. I say let this boob Bonds break the record and get this stinking mess over with. Some people and even MLB might recognize Bonds as the home run champ, but I don't have to, and I won't.

hells ya! Bonds isn't worth enough to bow down to Hank Aaron and kiss his ***. Bonds was a top 10 player in the league before the roids, but he had to ruin everything. Baseball is so hypocritical too: protecting Bonds from fans to look professional, but backstab him behind closed doors. Hell, Canseco is more honorable than him. Unfortunately the record will be broken, so i hope it is soon just to get the torture OVER! Oh, and i'm sure the clear "tasted like flax-seed oil", Barry. Hay basketman, he tied the record you ********. And your link doesn't work either.

They shouldn't walk him even though thats a good idea. What they should do is hit him in the knee or the head every time he bats. Everyone knows he took steroids, because he went from stick-man to the walking muscle. It's proof that he took steroids , because his trainer's been in jail for almost a year for refusing to talk in court. If Bonds didn't take steroids, the trainer should have nothing to hide.

I wish. But this lowers their record too. And just like with children, they will fear that 'someone else will just do it, so I won't NOT do it".
Also, probably most players are using something. Be it steroids or all natural versions of such or even street drugs. So to call such negative attention to themselves...their careers and possibly their own backgrounds? It won't happen.
I sure wish someone would, though.

Awwww, let's all cry about it. I love how most people who aren't San Francisco fans bash Barry... but I am more then willing to bet that if he was on any other team they would welcome him. He's the best player to ever play the game, get over it. If the only argument is look at Barry's rookie pics, and those of today, all I have to say is IT'S BEEN 15 YEARS. People change. Plus, if he did as many steroids as people say he did he would have deflated like a balloon like McGuire did when he was caught. Please. Keep talking sh*t, you're just making him MORE famous.

Better to try to win the game. I wouldn`t intentionally walk him unless the game dictated, but I certainly wouldn`t give him much to hit.
