to me barry bonds is like music.
a band/artist that is good and you recognize them for their talent and you respect them and all but dont like their music. I feel the same way about bonds plus everyone knew it was coming so its not that big of a surprise.

Congrats Barry you earned it

I'm very happy he did it. Whether he used steroids or not, it doesn't take away from the fact that he's an extremely talented athlete. Steroids only make you stronger, you still have to have the ability to be successful. How many of the ball players that have tested positive for steroids have done amazing things? Very few. If the talent isn't there, the added strength means nothing.

Also, let's keep in mind that Barry Bonds has never tested positive for any performance enhancement drugs. Yeah, I know he's almost twice the size he was 10+ years ago, but until he fails a test or admits to taking something, I'm not condoning him.

I just hope he sets the new record in San Francisco so there will be the celebration breaking this record should get.

There will always be doubters, hecklers, racists and just plain morons out there. I'm not bothered by them and neither is Barry. Anyone who can withstand that pressure and the issue of age and still manage to chase records and hit well and consistently deserves praise. He did what he did and many said he would do from the first day he was signed and put on a uniform and for that I am happy for him and applaud his determination and dedication to the game and his skill. Go asterisk your ***. Whatever you say there will never be any question about him being one of the greatest players who ever stepped onto the field, and for your accusations sake, with or without steroids.

Happy I get to see some history and it'll be entertaining to see people whining about it. I'll also be happy when he breaks it and the question doesn't come up all the time like it currently does. The pseudo-fans can then jump on another popular subject while I enjoy the race for the postseason in baseball and the start of football.

No way. Aaron will always be the man. Bonds was a slightly above average player before he "unknowingly" took 'roids. I think his hitting average was around 275. It's a bionic record and if it's legit, then androids should be allowed to compete too. Sorry Barry, but you're a counterfeit bond. peace

Definitely. He deserves 100% recognition. Thats a hell of a feat, and I do NOT think he used performance enchancing drugs and whatnot. He's the man.
