I think that there is no excuses for the Yanks. I've been a die hard Yankee fan since 1976. The fact that we haven't won a World Series in 7 years is starting to piss me off now. Especially when we have a 200,000,000 dollar pay roll. As we proved in the past it's not having a team full of high priced players. It's about having the right players, and team chemistry. When we won 1996-2000, they were all with mostly home grown guys (Rivera, Jeter, Posada, Petite) and a few added stars along the way (Justice, Clemens, Boggs, Canseco, Gooden, Starwberry, Fielder) Remember Luis Sojo, Paul O'Neill, Tino Martinez, David Cone, Scott Brosius, Jim Leyrintz. Little guys who did big things when it mattered. Not a team full of over paid guys. So lets start unloading, and maybe suffer a few years, and get rid of some of these high priced guys, and old players, and start getting some youngsters.

I am coming from England to San Diego in September and hope to take in a Padres game. I looked up their web page to get ticket prices (they are offering two for one on the Thursday) and so on, and was astonished to see that they were asking $20 to park your car for the game. Is this true? We have no accommodation booked and will stop in motels in the region - is it easier to go to Petco by public transport? Would this be terribly crowded after the game finishes?

If you look at him in his first few years in the bigs, he was just like Barry and Sammy, skinny and now all three are huge. But yet no one ever mentions his name when discusssing steriods.

I have a baseball autographed by Andruw Jones when he was playing for the Greenville Braves (the year before he went to the major leagues).

Its also signed by the rest of the team but I'm not sure if any of the other players are in the MLB now...?

How much should I sell this for on eBay?

i mean shouldn't you play for the love of the game but not for money. well yeah you need decent pay but thats why some teams have bad players in some possitions cuz of budget cuts i hate it when one player takes up about half the teams pay check

ok,well i've been playing baseball for a long time.im 17 and been playing since i was 6, i've never had a game in which you can say i don't know what i'm doing out there..but lately theres something wrong.i started the season back in june and was about 10 games deep into the season.in one game i was on SS and made a realy tough double play in which i dive for the ball to turn the the double play, from that moment on i was confident that nothing can get past me and in the sixth inning there was an easy play coming towards me and i misplayed it.i brushed that off..then in the very next inning i had an easy double play and i couldnt turn it.from that moment on i feel lost on the feild and sometimes i lose sight of the fundimentals, for example forget to back up the second baseman on a throw from the catcher.i know it's mental cause all of that expeirence and work.u can't tell me that ive lost it all of a sudden..

i want to know whats wrong..is it mental? and how can i fix it?
,thank you

Right now I am watching my Mets in a tied game with the Houston Astros and they are in the bottom of the 15th.

Does anyone know the longest game, in terms of innings, in the history of baseball and who the game was between and the date?
I am just curious! Thanks to all who answer!

Ryan Howard, Prince Fielder and Miguel Cabrera confirmed the will participate, so there's only one spot left to represent the NL.

Should Bonds represent his team at AT&T Park or Griffey should try to get his 4th crown?

the MLB is a bunch of racists. Josh Gibson has over 800 homeruns and they dont count them??????? i know he played in the ***** Leaugues but they played good teams which were in the MLB. Josh Gibson is the overall homerun leader and he should be credited for that.

He was hitting .172 this year. His power was just unbelievable with the one homer.

Oh and look at his stats from 1999 when he hit 12 homers. And look at his weight, 175, yeah right. His head weighs about 100 lbs by itself. And in 2004 he hit .371, gotta be the juice.

I mean honestly, how can you be this good at 34 and not be on the juice. I mean there is just no way.

This is to all the people who think they know everything. Good job Neifi!

GO BARRY!!!
