Right now I am watching my Mets in a tied game with the Houston Astros and they are in the bottom of the 15th.

Does anyone know the longest game, in terms of innings, in the history of baseball and who the game was between and the date?
I am just curious! Thanks to all who answer!

The longest Major League baseball game was a National League game that went 26-innings. Ironically, both pitchers went the distance in a 1-1 tie.
Leon Cadore went for the Brooklyn Dodgers and Joe Oeschger threw for the Boston Braves on May 1st, 1920.
Both Cadore and Oeschger would win only 15-games for their respective clubs.
Brooklyn took the NL pennant going to the World Series while Boston finished 7th in the 8-team division.

The longest game was pitched in the 1920s and the game lasted 26 innings. It was between Brooklyn Robins and the Boston Braves. Both pitchers pitched the whole game too!

i don't know, but i was at an 18 inning game last season, watching the astros play the cubbies.

i spend the first 9 innings in the nosebleeds and the last 9 right behind the dugout.

I know the question's already been answered, and you probably are only looking for the AAA, but still. A "Cape League" (college baseball) game went for about 28 innings a couple years ago. I just wanted to throw that in there.

One baseball game lasted 33 innings, it was a minor league game. I think it was in 1981, it was the Rochester Red Wings and the Pawtucket Red Sox. Wade Boggs and Cal Ripken Jr actually played in that game.
