A 1909 Honus Wagner tobacco card recently sold for $2.35 million, the most ever:

The Wagner card is incredibly rare not only because of the date, but also because Wagner asked for his card to be pulled shortly after its run. He didn't want to support tobacco, something in which he didn't believe.

the Honus Wagner. He did not want it released because he was against smoking(card were in cigarette packs back then), so only so many were released.
