i mean shouldn't you play for the love of the game but not for money. well yeah you need decent pay but thats why some teams have bad players in some possitions cuz of budget cuts i hate it when one player takes up about half the teams pay check

Yeah, they should...no loyalty to the fans whatsoever. I wonder if they ever thought about the fans who would have to pay their astronomical salaries. And the players aren't even loyal to fans that pay their salaries. They go to the other teams that can give them an extra million a year. The fans are the ones getting screwed.

The players making the most money are the laziest ball players out there. And that's a real shame too. That's like a slap in the face to me. It's like, I'm not paying $40 to see you drag your freakin' azz. The players need to start thinking about the name on the front of the jersey instead of the name on the back. And more importantly, the fans that put the money in their pockets.

If the fans didn't make such a fuss about 'replacement' players, we could have had a cap.
If the pros sat out, I don't know why people thought there would be less quality. Someone would have hit 40 hrs, drive in 120, steal 50, win 20, K 220.

If these players ever really said "If I wasn't in the majors, what would I be doing and how much money would I be earning" they may look at it differently.

They don't care (in the least) that their salaries come out of your pocket. And we reward them.

Right, so the strike was all about money, bingo, you guessed right! And as long as the public continues to support such stuff, it will not end. People should play at least partly for love of the game and out of team spirit and loyalty, but that rarely is the case after elementary school, and sometimes not even that long.

Are you talking about strike of 1994? Of course it was stupid. Anytime there is labor disputes in baseball it is stupid, because there is sooo much money involved that everyone should be content. It's always a shame to see players of any sport fight over millions of dollars when so many still have so little.
