Baseball - July 2007

I thought they switched it up every year. Last year the all-star game was in Pittsburgh (NL) and this year it's in San Fran (NL). Why is this??? Is the NL going to be the home team again?

They've been playing pretty decently the last 2-3 weeks. Kinsler and Texiera are almost off the DL.

I am not saying they're gonna come back and win the AL West. That is practically impossible. I do think they'll finish the season around .500, which is a heck of a lot better than they have been.

At any given tournament, you will see umpires wearing navy blue, powder blue, black, cream, grey, white, red, etc. I know MLB's official color is black, and their alternate color is the polo blue with a navy collar. Minor league's official color is navy blue from what I've been told. How does a color get to be a color that umpires can wear?

I know it's an odd question, but i've been wondering for a while. Thanks!

I am going to Tropicana field on thrusay to see the my favorite team the yankees take on the Rays. We are going to extra early to catch Yankee batting practice. I reallyyyyyy want a signature from A-rod and he plays at third base, so should i go to the front row seats down the third base line, do they give Alex groundballs during batting practice and then after his ground balls scream his name to get a signature.... should i do that? If any other tips please tell

I'm going to the Pirate game on August 13th when the Pirates face the Giants and Barry Bonds. i HATE the fact that this is the way that it is. why bust your @$$ as a player to win 100 games when you could have played half as hard to get 90 wins and made it if it doesn't matter come the world series? the only reason this is even a part of the game is because of the tie after 11 innings way back at miller park. i think we can blame two people for this: torrii hunter for robbing bonds of a home run and sammy sosa for getting thrown out by a mile trying to stretch a double into a triple for the first out. cardinal rule, don't make the first or last out of an inning at third, just stay at second b/c you are in scoring position anyways. just want a few thoughts.
